University of Brighton Green Growth Platform

Working in collaboration with Black Box Insulation

The Green Growth Platform (GGP) is a £2.95m programme set up by Director, Zoe Osmond, with the objective of connecting and linking the knowledge assets of the University of Brighton with over 1,000 environmental sector companies. The GGP also aims to support innovation and address skills shortages in the sector. Black Box Insulation is proud to work with the GGP and have greatly benefited and is still benefiting from the ongoing collaboration.

Black Box Insulation brings together a wide range of energy saving products and services for householders and businesses, with a strong focus on External Wall Insulation. The GGP has helped Black Box Insulation to develop a growth plan through 1-2-1 business coaching, providing support to a successful application for a Coast to Capital (C2C) grant that has enabled the company to expand.

In a big year of growth, Black Box Insulation has created seven full-time jobs, three of which have been part funded by the GGP internship scheme. Black Box Insulation has also secured a large nationwide commission and provided work for 18 sub-contractors.

Working in partnership with the GGP & C2C has been extremely beneficial for Black Box Insulation as a whole company and we would highly recommend their services to other companies
